Mental Health Initiative

SOS: Strengthening Our Students is appreciative of the opportunity to announce our 2nd “Mental Health.. Where Do We Go From Here?” Initiative. 
 

On May 17, 2025 we will host a Mental Health Educational Workshop for Students, Individuals and Families from Noon - 3:00 p.m. at the Alpha Educational and Leadership Development Center located at 2820 East 116th, Street, Cleveland, OH  44120.
 

At SOS, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. Our major priority is to promote mental health, wellness and awareness at this valuable workshop that will assist in today's many challenges and daily changes!
 

Additionally, we are committed to ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone. Mental health challenges affect millions of lives, yet stigma and lack of access to care remain significant barriers. Together, we can change this!
 

With such organizations as Brighter Tomorrow Community Services, Serenity Health & Wellness Corporation, Paradigm Shift Recovery Services, Village of Healing and Express not Suppress, we were able to host our first forum with esteem panelists addressing awareness, data and support.

 

During this workshop, our efforts will focus on providing free counseling sessions, providing contact data and raising awareness in underserved communities. But we can’t do this without the generosity of compassionate individuals like you.
 

We are asking that you support our Mental Health Workshop that will assist in ensuring our sustainability and equipping our organization to better serve our students, individuals, families and our community in this ever evolving field of Mental Health!
